![]() On the crank sensors - before you go there, get yourself a new oil pressure sending unit (It may be cracked and leaking, but you will break it when you try to disconnect the wiring from it) and the o-rings for the oil filter base. Crazy - 10 hours labor to replace a $35 part. The service manual says you can reuse the the gasket, but I'm sure you won't want to reuse it. Try snugging the pan bolts you can get to - they are most likely finger loose. It truly is a 10 weekend job to replace if you only work an hour a weekend. It also sounds like you have the same oil pan gasket issue I'm just living with. That one bolt is impossible to torque properly while in the car. Reach over the valve cover behind the PS pump and feel for fresh oil on the block below the valve cover. If your mechanic changed the cover gaskets, it's likely he didn't get the rear, right bolt tight. Yesterday was my 7 year anniversary and 112,000 miles later. ![]()
